Houston Calling

Dear Sam,
What an adventurous Spring Break you are having!!

It looks like maybe you are clearing land around the school, and you also mentioned
that you taught a class - what did you teach?  How old were the students?  Did they
speak English, or do you speak Spanish?

The picture with you and that HUGE SPIDER (yuck) is amazing, and I am sure that it
caught everyone's attention.  Do you know what kid of spider it is?  Is it hairy or poisonous?

It sounds like you will have some time to do some exploring around the area.  I'm glad that
you will see some Mayan Ruins.  We saw some south of Cancun in Mexico, and they really
took our breath away: they were beautiful and very sophisticated construction - really makes
you wonder how they did something like that so long ago - without any construction equipment as
we know it.  Are you going diving when you are there, or snorkeling.  The water, I understand,
is crystal clear and beautiful.

I wish that we knew that you were connecting in Houston.  There are concessions at the Houston
Rodeo that need prizes to be won by a master at the art - that would be you!

Have fun while you're there, and enjoy the rest of your Spring Break when you get home too.
Love,
Susan and Fred
